Job Description

Join us as an Investment Banking Chief Controls Office (IB CCO) Product Frameworks, where you will shape the future of banking at Barclays by assessing the integrity and effectiveness of the bank's internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and the protection of the bank's operational, financial, and reputational risk.

To be successful as an IB CCO Product Frameworks, you should have:

  • A strong background in IBK/Markets, preferably BM and CCO roles.
  • Technical skills to understand and navigate business processes and infrastructure front-to-back.
  • Understanding of governance and control frameworks, and approach to design/remediation.
  • Stakeholder interaction and communication skills.

Highly valued skills include:

  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent Excel and data manipulation skills.

You may be assessed on key skills such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job-specific technical skills.

This role is based in London.

Purpose of the role

To assess the integrity and effectiveness of the bank's internal control framework to support risk mitigation and protect operational, financial, and reputational interests.

Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the bank to improve control effectiveness through documentation of assessments, procedures, and findings.
  • Identify and investigate weaknesses within internal controls to promote improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Develop reports to communicate key findings and recommendations.
  • Conduct reviews to determine the effectiveness of internal controls in line with policies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework and appropriate assessment methodologies.
