International Transport Planner

My client, a specialist in international import and export logistics, is seeking to recruit an experiencedInternational Transport Plannerfor an immediate start.

Main responsibilities include:

• Interact with customers via email and phone to provide updates on their consignments.
• Receive and book transport movements from clients, ensuring accurate scheduling.
• Assign vehicles and trailers to transport movements and communicate instructions to drivers.
• Administer Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation and manage job pricing efficiently.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with clients regarding all logistics matters.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• 2-3yrs experience as a Transport Planner/Administrator
• Understanding of driver hours, breaks, and loading limits.
• Basic knowledge of Customs procedures between the UK and Ireland is an advantage.
• Strong IT literacy and proficiency in spoken and written English (second language acceptable).
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing transport operations.
• Flexibility to work on a Monday to Friday schedule, including occasional Saturday shifts post-training.
