What you will do:
• Input to the regulatory reporting areas of the Audit Universe and the annual planning for regulatory reporting audits
• Execute the regulatory reporting audit plan and report findings in a timely manner
• Work independently producing terms of reference, planning, testing and producing audit reports to provide assurance that significant business risks associated with Regulatory reporting are identified and appropriately controlled.
• Use range of audit techniques to deliver audit work, including data analytics
• Provide an independent view of the effectiveness of processes and controls and the interpretation of regulatory guidance
• Build and maintain open communication with management and an understanding of business activities through attendance at applicable risk forums
• Keep up to date with industry developments and regulatory pronouncements and reporting standards; and assess impact when performing regulatory reporting reviews as appropriate
• Follow up on your audit recommendations and ensure that they have been implemented before reporting them as closed for the Audit Committee

What you will need:

• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
• Experience and deep understanding of FINREP, COREP, including credit risk, asset encumbrance, leverage ratio, large exposures and Liquidity returns
• Up to date knowledge of the current rules and regulations around the various regulatory reporting returns
• Experience of auditing/reviewing/working on regulatory reporting/Financial Institutions, or skilled in risk management
• Professional Accountancy Qualification ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
• Proactive behaviours and an attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support and challenge stakeholders at all levels of the Bank
