Interim Purchase & Sales Ledger Assistant

A growing and fast-paced organisation is seeking an Interim Purchase & Sales Ledger Assistant to join its friendly finance team on an initial temporary contract.

Positioned just moments from Bath Spa Station, this is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a busy environment and wants to play a key role in keeping the finance function running smoothly.This is not a role where you will be stuck doing the same task every day. You will gain exposure across both sides of the ledger, work closely with colleagues across the business and become an integral part of a supportive finance team.

What You Will Be Doing

• Processing supplier invoices and maintaining the Purchase Ledger
• Raising customer invoices and supporting the Sales Ledger function
• Managing supplier and customer account reconciliations
• Chasing outstanding payments and resolving account queries
• Assisting with payment runs and cash allocation
• Supporting month-end activities and finance administration
• Building strong relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience within Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or Accounts Assistant roles
• Strong attention to detail and a highly organised approach
• Confident communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
• Comfortable working with finance systems and Excel
• Ability to manage workloads and prioritise effectively
• Available to start at short notice
