Job Description:

Provide evidenced-based expert clinical practice, advice, and leadership for IPC to clinical teams and managers across the Trust. Working closely with the Deputy Director of Nursing, Quality and Governance deliver the organisation's strategic aims for IPC, maintaining compliance with the Health and Care Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate, further develop and maintain high-quality, safe and effective systems for strategic development with effective implementation of clinical activity across the Trust, underpinned by excellent IPC practices.
• Lead the function with an attitude which respects and values patients and their needs in relation to reducing their risk of Health Care Associated Infections.
• Provide leadership to the operational teams who deliver the required IPC statutory requirements and other patient care and cleanliness standards.
• Act as a change agent for the development and implementation of innovations in IPC practice and service modernisation, working in line with the Trust's overall aims and priorities.
