Interim Head of Infection Prevention and Control

Rate: £40.23 per hour
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months initially
Location: North West

• Provide evidenced based expert clinical practice, advice, and leadership for IPC to clinical teams and managers across the Trust.
• Work closely with the Deputy Director of Nursing, Quality and Governance to deliver the organisation's strategic aims for IPC, maintaining compliance with the Health and Care Standards.
• Coordinate, further develop and maintain high quality, safe and effective systems for strategic development with effective implementation of clinical activity across the Trust, underpinned by excellent IPC practices.
• Lead the function with an attitude which respects and values patients and their needs in relation to reducing their risk of Health Care Associated Infections.
• Provide leadership to the operational teams who deliver the required IPC statutory requirements and other patient care and cleanliness standards.
• Act as a change agent for the development and implementation of innovations in IPC practice and service modernisation, working in line with the Trust's overall aims and priorities.
