Interim Financial Controller -70K

Your new company

Hays are working in partnership with a rapidly growing organisation for the immediate appointment of an interim Financial Controller who will lead the finance function during an important period of change and transformation. Reporting directly to the Directors and Shareholders, this is a hands-on interim opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional who can take ownership from day one, drive operational improvements, and provide strong financial leadership across the Group.
This role will suit an experienced interim finance leader, Financial Controller, Finance Director, or Finance Transformation professional with a track record of delivering results.

Your new role

You will oversee the finance team whilst delivering a number of key business-critical projects, including:

• Ownership of monthly management accounts and board reporting.
• Financial leadership and cash flow management.
• Development of finance team processes, controls and standard operating procedures.
• Leadership of a new legal entity implementation project.
• Oversight of TUPE-related activities and stakeholder management.
• Support with systems integration, automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Management of the rollout of a new property management system and its integration with QuickBooks.
• Delivery of a comprehensive handover to the permanent appointed.

Finance Leadership

• Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts and board reporting.
• Provide commercial insight to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Monitor cash flow and support business planning.
• Coach and develop the finance team to ensure a sustainable, high-performing function. Templeton_ Manager_JD Word

Change & Transformation

• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives across the finance function.
• Introduce best practice controls and efficiencies.
• Reduce manual and paper-based processes through technology and workflow improvements. Templeton_ Manager_JD Word

Project Delivery

• Lead the implementation of a new legal entity for the Property Management business.
• Coordinate external stakeholders including legal, HR and payroll advisers.
• Manage project governance, reporting and delivery milestones.
• Support systems implementation and integration activitie

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience leading finance teams.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting expertise.
• Experience delivering finance transformation, change or systems projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to quickly assess challenges, implement solutions and deliver results.
• Previous interim, consultancy or project-based leadership experience would be highly desirable
