Interim Finance Director - Yeovil
Contract: Interim - September 2025 start - role likely to last for 6 months.Sector: Manufacturing .
Salary: Up to £400 per day.Hybrid: 5 days per week onsite.
Hays are working with a large manufacturing organisation based in Yeovil, who are seeking a interim Finance Director to help drive strategic growth and operational excellence in their organisation. This is a site-based role at a cutting-edge facility in Yeovil, ideally suited for professionals based in or around Yeovil.
This role will require someone on site for 5 days per week.
The Role:As a key member of the site leadership team, you'll oversee all financial operations, ensuring robust controls, insightful reporting, and strategic alignment. You'll lead a talented team and collaborate closely with the General Manager to drive performance and support business-critical decisions.
Key Responsibilities:Financial Accounting & Management

Deliver accurate Management and Statutory Accounts in line with IFRS and internal policies.

Ensure financial integrity through strong controls, stock counts, and asset management.

Management Accounting

Lead forecasting and budgeting processes with a "no surprises" approach.

Provide performance insights through dashboards, trend analysis, and business modelling.

Business Partnering

Collaborate with site leadership to challenge ideas and support strategic initiatives.

What We're Looking ForWe're keen to hear from candidates with:

ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification

Proven leadership experience

Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP

Expertise in commercial finance, group consolidations, and multicurrency environments

Manufacturing finance experience

Advanced Excel and Hyperion skills

Ability to interpret standard costings and variances
