Interim Finance Business Partner £314pd

Location: West Yorkshire (hybrid - typically 3 days onsite)
Client: Large, Public Sector organisation
Rate: £314 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Duration: To December 2027

A major public sector organisation is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join its Finance function in a high-impact, stakeholder-facing role.

You'll work at the heart of decision-making, partnering with senior leaders to drive financial performance, efficiency, and value for money across critical services.

The Role:

This is a fast-paced environment where your insight will directly influence both operational delivery and long-term strategy.

• Acting as the lead finance contact for key business areas, providing strategic and operational advice
• Leading budget planning, forecasting, and financial performance management
• Delivering clear, insightful management reporting to senior stakeholders
• Providing constructive challenge to support effective decision-making and governance
• Identifying and driving efficiency savings and value improvement opportunities
• Supporting medium-term financial planning and wider organisational strategy
• Representing finance across boards, projects, and partnership forums
• Building strong relationships and translating complex financial data into actionable insight
• Supporting and mentoring junior finance colleagues
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and audit standards

Requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent)
• Strong experience in business partnering, budgeting, and forecasting within a complex organisation
• Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
• Excellent analytical skills with a commercial mindset
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Advantageous would be any experience in the public sector
