Interim Finance Business Partner

Robertson Bell are delighted to be supporting a leading public sector organisation in their search for an Interim Finance Business Partner for an initial six-month assignment. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a highly visible, outward-facing role. This is a six month contract with office attendance required twice per week.

This is a key appointment within a small Finance Business Partnering team, where you'll work closely with senior managers and executives across the organisation. The role has a strong focus on capital expenditure and budget management, with responsibility for:

• Leading on the management and classification of the capital budget, including the technology spend.
• Supporting and challenging business cases with sound financial insight.
• Providing forecasting and analysis to feed into management accounts (processing handled elsewhere).
• Building and strengthening relationships with senior stakeholders, including Exec Directors.

With approximately 75% of your time spent business-facing, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner who enjoys developing relationships and influencing decision-making.

We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with strong business partnering and capital budget management experience. Public sector exposure would be highly beneficial but is not essential. You will need to demonstrate:

• Proven experience supporting senior leaders, including Executive Directors.
• A track record of delivering insight and challenge in a complex environment.
• Confidence in managing capital expenditure and related reporting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly build relationships.
