Location: Cramlington
Rate: £20.51 per hour (£40,000 equivalent salary)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: 6-Month Temporary/Fixed-Term (with potential for extension)

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Analyst / Management Accountant to join their finance team and support a busy operational environment. This role will play a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end activities and contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes across the business.

Working closely with operational stakeholders and the wider finance team, you will provide financial analysis, investigate variances and help drive informed decision-making through meaningful reporting and insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and analyse loss reporting, identifying trends and investigating variances
• Support the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Assist with accruals, prepayments, journals and account reconciliations
• Prepare financial reports and performance analysis for operational stakeholders
• Support budgeting, forecasting and annual planning activities
• Review cost centre performance and provide commentary on key variances
• Assist with inventory reporting and related financial analysis
• Support financial controls and compliance requirementsWork alongside operational teams to improve reporting processes and financial performance
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and reporting enhancements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience within a Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant or Finance Business Partner position
• Qualified or Part Qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) preferred, AAT Qualified essential
• Strong month-end accounting experience
• Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or operational environment would be advantageous
