Who you are
  • Experience in Employee Relations advisory, case management roles or the equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law, and best practice
  • Experience managing complex ER cases end-to-end including redundancies, restructures, absence, disciplinary, and grievance
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and influencing skills
  • Ability to identify trends and recommend improvements
What the job involves
  • As part of the Employee Relations Centre of Excellence (COE), you will join a team of specialist ER experts providing professional advice and support to people leaders across the UK & Ireland. This is a senior case manager / advisory role, reporting into the ER Director for UK & Ireland
  • Provide pragmatic employee relations guidance to people leaders across all areas of the employee lifecycle including performance, disciplinary, grievance, restructuring, and absence management in line with employment law, and best practice
  • Manage complex ER cases from initiation to resolution, ensuring accurate case logging, regular updates, and secure documentation within the Case Management system
  • Act as an escalation point for People Shared Services teams, and Business / Country People Partners (BPP/CPP), offering expert advice and day-to-day coaching on cases
  • Play a pivotal role in change management initiatives, including redundancy consultations, organisational restructures, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and best practice
  • Support and deliver training where required, equipping leaders to manage ER matters effectively and confidently
  • Participate in regular case discussions to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with and share knowledge, insights, and updates across the wider ER team to drive continuous improvement
  • Interpret and resolve people issues, recommending solutions and best practices, while mitigating legal, financial, and reputational risk
