Job overviewThe interim Director of Strategy will take a lead role in overseeing and coordinating the implementation of the Trust's recently published five-year vision, mission and clinical strategy which is focused on delivering outstanding care, a great place to work and healthy communities.
The role will help develop the future for the organisation, scan best practice and ensure that our strategic plans align with the system ensuring delivery of that future.
The postholder will work closely with the Executive team to support delivery of each of their component parts of the strategy and will ensure the Trust strategic initiatives are delivered within annual operating plans.
They will be the key leadership figure for the organisation i.e. the SRO (Senior Responsible Officer) for delivering the programme to address health inequalities as part of overall delivery of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy. This includes reconfiguration of community services to improve access to services, implementing the new Health on the High Street model and further developing the redevelopment of rehabilitation services to achieve a centre of excellence model in Buckinghamshire.
They will also support the estates redevelopment plan, moving from programme business case to the next stages. Redeveloping the estate will require the postholder to lead on public and staff engagement on behalf of the Trust.
The postholder will also engage with the Integrated Care System and Place to align system and place strategies with the Trust strategy and refresh the BHT strategy as and when required.
They will need to build and maintain strong regional and national relationships to proactively horizon scan, looking at best practice and bringing strategic thinking into the organisation from outside.
The role will deputise for the Chief Commercial Officer at Board and Executive level.
Position is based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital with cross site travel required.
