At Aspen People, we are delighted to be working in partnership with Waverley Housing to recruit an Interim Director of Asset Management for a 3-6-month contract.
Waverley Housing is a Registered Social Landlord based in the Scottish Borders, providing quality homes and services. The Interim Director of Asset Management role will provide strategic leadership for the organisation's property and asset management functions during a key period of transformation. Key priorities include leading innovative, modern, high-quality property and asset management services, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and driving service transformation. The role will also involve developing and implementing operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance the standard of properties, maintaining safe and compliant homes for residents.
Key responsibilities include:- Lead the delivery of Property Services and ensure alignment with Waverley Housing's strategic objectives.
- Oversee asset management strategy and compliance with legal, regulatory, and procurement requirements.
- Develop and review operational strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure effective risk management and monitoring of performance indicators.
- Manage budgets effectively and identify efficiency savings.
- Provide leadership, development, and support to operational teams.
- Foster positive relationships with stakeholders and partner organisations.
- Promote a culture of customer engagement, participation, and community involvement.
- Ensure health and safety compliance across all operational activities.
- Significant senior experience in property services or asset management, preferably within housing.
- Proven leadership and change management experience.
- Strong understanding of compliance, regulation, and health and safety within a housing context.
- Experience managing budgets and achieving operational efficiencies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective partnerships.
