Interim Consultant - Elderly Care Services

Location: Dublin, Ireland & Surrounding Areas

Are you a senior elderly care leader with a strong regulatory background and a passion for improving standards? Do you have the expertise to step into challenged services, deliver clarity, restore confidence, and drive sustainable improvement?

We are seeking an experienced Interim Consultant to support elderly residential and nursing services requiring audits, mock inspections, and turnaround crisis management. This is a strategic yet hands on role suited to accomplished senior managers who can quickly assess risk, implement structure, and lead with compassion.

The Role:

Provide high level consultancy support to stabilise, strengthen, and improve elderly care services while ensuring regulatory compliance and improved quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive operational and quality audits aligned to HIQA standards
• Deliver full mock inspections with detailed reporting and improvement roadmaps
• Lead crisis and turnaround management in underperforming services
• Develop and implement robust action plans to address compliance gaps
• Strengthen governance, safeguarding, medication management, and care planning systems
• Review staffing structures, leadership capability, and workforce performance
• Mentor and support Registered Providers and senior leadership teams
• Embed person centred, dignity focused care practices across services
• Drive measurable improvements in compliance, quality ratings, and operational stability

Requirements:

• Extensive senior management experience within elderly residential or nursing care
• Strong working knowledge of HIQA regulatory frameworks and inspection processes
• Proven success in service turnaround and quality improvement
• Experience conducting audits and mock inspections with written reports
• Confident, resilient leader able to operate effectively in high pressure environments
• Flexibility to travel across Dublin and surrounding areas
