Interim Accountant

Interim Accountant (6-9 Months Contract)Newbury (5 days onsite)£350-£450 per day (Outside IR35)

We are working with a fast-growing SME in Newbury that has recently secured private equity backing and is entering an exciting phase of transformation and growth.

As part of this journey, they are seeking an experienced Interim Accountant to support the CFO on a range of high-impact projects over the next 6-9 months.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where you will work closely with the CFO and senior leadership team. Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the restatement of historical accounts under FRS102, with a focus on revenue recognition

• Assisting with a major ERP implementation project

• Providing broader project support across finance transformation initiatives

• Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and improved financial reporting processes

• Acting as a key point of contact for technical accounting matters

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly FRS102 and revenue recognition

• Proven experience in project-based roles within SME or PE-backed environments

• Experience supporting or leading ERP implementations

• Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Available immediately or at short notice

• Day rate of £350-£450 (Outside IR35)
