Interaction Designer - SC Cleared

An exciting opportunity for anInteraction Designer to work at the core of a new team focussed on the forward development of digital strategy of services and solutions, within the Defence sector. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working in accessibility in agile environments and to GDS standards.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with multi-disciplinary team members to develop a strong understanding of user needs
• Design data-led solutions using elements of data analysis (eg., tabular, data charts and data libraries)
• Liaising with Accessibilities leaders, who are responsible for raising awareness of accessibility in the defence sector, empowering accessibility services and participating in Cross Government Accessibility Leader network
• Play a significant role in running digital service assessments to ensure accessibility
• Work effectively with Digital communities to champion accessibility

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong ambition to make a significant difference in a complex and demanding environment
• Excellent design skills, with proven experience working in a data led environment
• Champion of Agile ways of working
• Significant experience in designing solutions to meet a predefined set of standards
• Experience championing accessibility to internal stakeholders
• Experience of working with colleagues in accessibility across government
• A good understanding of the social and technological context for government services, and the ability to work with teams to help them understand the right way to deliver services
• All candidates must have active SC clearance

• Day Rate: £500
• IR35: Outside
• Location: Hybrid / 2-3 days per week onsite in Hampshire
• Start date: End of June
• Required: Candidates must hold ACTIVE SC Clearance.
