Job Description

Role: Intelligence Officers

Ref: JM 77652-3

Pay Rate: £18.74 per hour (PAYE)

Contract Length: 12 months

Hours per week: 37 (the client will consider flexible working/part time hours and potential for overtime)

Location: Warrington (Full-time office-based)

Active Clearance to be held: NPPV/CTC/SC

Our Client is seeking dedicated Intelligence Officers to support the vital work of their Referral Unit, a national function focused on identifying and combating online child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This high-impact role involves working at the front line of safeguarding efforts, reviewing and developing intelligence from online platforms, and coordinating responses to ensure the protection of vulnerable children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and assess sensitive material related and including images, video, and communications).
  • Receive and triage referrals from major online platforms (via international partners) and from UK-based reporting entities under the Online Safety Act 2023.
  • Develop intelligence to identify offenders and victims using a variety of tools and techniques.
  • Conduct geo-location and metadata analysis to support law enforcement interventions.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate case records and manage risk assessments.
  • Contribute to a wider team effort in ensuring high standards of welfare, resilience, and wellbeing.
Essential
  • A background in Policing, Investigation or working within Central Government investigations team.
  • A strong willingness and emotional resilience to work with related material.
  • Experience in handling sensitive or safeguarding-related work.
  • Proven ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Experience managing risk in a safeguarding, criminal justice or intelligence environment.
  • Experience in law enforcement, intelligence, or social safeguarding roles.
Desirable
  • Experience in open-source intelligence (OSINT).
  • Familiarity with criminal or safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience collaborating with multi-agency partners.
