We are looking for an experienced and motivated Insurance Consultant to join our team, managing and developing relationships with an established portfolio of clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with existing insurance experience who enjoys understanding client needs, providing professional guidance and delivering tailored insurance solutions.

You'll play an important role in maintaining client relationships, ensuring their insurance requirements are met and upholding the high standards that set SJL apart.

The Role

As an Insurance Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and developing relationships with an established portfolio of clients.
• Understanding clients' insurance requirements and providing appropriate advice and guidance within your authority.
• Reviewing client needs and helping ensure their insurance arrangements remain suitable.
• Acting as a trusted point of contact for policy enquiries, amendments, renewals and ongoing support.
• Building long-term relationships through proactive communication and excellent service.
• Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring all documentation is completed correctly.
• Working in line with company procedures, regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
• Collaborating with colleagues to deliver a consistently high standard of service.

About You

We are looking for someone who can bring existing experience, confidence and professionalism to the role.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in the insurance industry, preferably within commercial insurance or a broking environment.
• Experience managing client relationships and handling insurance enquiries.
• A good understanding of insurance products, policy documentation and the client service process.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to understand client requirements and identify appropriate solutions.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive, professional approach with the ability to manage your workload effectively.
• A commitment to delivering excellent client service and maintaining high professional standards.

You'll be comfortable working independently while also contributing positively to a supportive and collaborative team.
