Job Description

Our client, within the energy and infrastructure sector, is seeking to appoint an Insurance & Risk Specialist to support the management of its group-wide insurance and risk programmes. The organisation operates significant infrastructure assets within a complex operational environment, requiring strong governance, risk oversight, and effective insurance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the placement and renewal of the organisation's insurance programmes, ensuring appropriate coverage, cost control, and alignment with risk appetite.
  • Manage the end-to-end insurance claims process, liaising with insurers, brokers, legal advisors, and internal teams while maintaining accurate claims records and reporting.
  • Support the organisation's enterprise risk management framework, including maintaining risk registers and preparing risk dashboards for senior management.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the organisation's Business Continuity Management processes and plans.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners while monitoring market developments and emerging risks relevant to the sector.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years' experience in insurance, risk management, or business continuity roles.
  • Relevant degree in Business, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of insurance markets and risk management practices, ideally within infrastructure, utilities, or energy environments.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams and external advisors.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capability, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
