Job Title: Portfolio Transfer Underwriter

Location: Ridderkerk, Netherlands

Salary: Up to €48,000 plus holiday pay


About Us:

IDEX Consulting are representing a global insurance group. They are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Portfolio Transfer Underwriter to join their growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the transfer of risk portfolios, working on various projects, and determining which portfolios are most relevant for transfer.


Role Overview


You will be responsible for working on projects related to risk policy transfers, identifying and assessing portfolios for transfer, and ensuring the smooth processing of transactions. This role requires a solid understanding of policies and underwriting procedures, as well as the ability to collaborate with various teams to ensure the effective management of insurance portfolios.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate risk policies to determine suitability for transfer.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient processing of portfolio transfers.
  • Work on various projects related to underwriting and policy transfer.
  • Provide administrative support to underwriting and broking teams.
  • Maintain and update records and databases related to transferred policies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders regarding portfolio transfers.


Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance, preferably with at least 6 months of experience in underwriting or broking. Dutch language proficiency is essential for this role, as you will need to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.


Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in insurance underwriting or broking.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products and policies.
  • Fluency in Dutch (written and spoken) is essential.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
