Company
Our client, a global consultancy, is partnering with a major player in the petrochemical sector to transform how technical training is delivered across their workforce. This project is focused on creating high-impact, digitally enabled learning experiences tailored to complex industrial environments.
As the Instructional Designer on this project, you'll be instrumental in shaping end-to-end learning solutions-from initial scoping to delivery-ensuring they're engaging, pedagogically sound, and aligned with both business and learner needs.
Role
As the Instructional Designer on this project, you'll lead the design and development of end-to-end digital learning experiences that support a highly technical, industrial audience. You'll collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders-primarily Dutch-speaking-to translate complex content into clear, engaging, and effective training.
You'll be involved in kickoff meetings, content scoping, storyboarding, and applying strong pedagogical principles throughout. On-site presence in Antwerp is expected roughly one day per week (averaging two days per course), with travel expenses covered.
Skillset required:
- Instructional Design Expertise: Proven experience designing end-to-end digital learning solutions with a strong foundation in pedagogy and adult learning principles.
- Language Skills: Fluent in Dutch.
- Technical Industry Familiarity: Experience working within or alongside oil, gas, manufacturing, or other technical sectors is highly desirable.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Confident engaging with cross-functional teams to gather content, shape learning outcomes, and manage feedback cycles.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure consistency and quality across course materials, adhering to brand and project standards.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to Antwerp, Belgium for key meetings and course delivery (approx. 4 days per month, expenses paid).
