Location: Leopardstown, Dublin (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineerto join a dynamic Design Engineering team focused on crafting the infrastructure that powers global-scale platforms. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on designing and building robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions from the ground up.

You'll be deeply involved in the full life cycle of infrastructure design-from gathering requirements and creating architecture documents to guiding implementation and ensuring operational excellence. Your work will directly influence the performance, reliability, and scalability of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build infrastructure solutions that meet evolving business and technical requirements.
• Lead the creation of Technical Architecture Documents (TADs), infrastructure models, and logical flows.
• Collaborate with application teams, architects, and stakeholders to define and validate system requirements.
• Ensure infrastructure designs align with enterprise standards for security, scalability, and availability.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential integration.
• Own and deliver regional infrastructure projects, managing planning, resources, and execution.
• Support and manage infrastructure components using best practices and modern tooling.
• Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and configuration management.
• Monitor production systems to ensure long-term stability and compatibility.

About You

Advanced knowledge of Web application architecture and project delivery.

Advanced knowledge of how the Java Virtual Machine works, how Garbage collection works.

Advanced knowledge of load balancers and web application Firewalls

Advanced knowledge of network and operating system principles

Vast knowledge of Middleware technologies (Web Servers, Application Servers, Queue Managers, Messaging, Caching)

Working knowledge of Database technologies.

Working knowledge of cloud technologies

Solid knowledge of techniques or methodologies to achieve non-functional requirements like reliability, availability, resilience, performance, security.

Working knowledge of Role Based Access Control, Authentication and Authorization mechanisms.
