Infrastructure Engineer (MDM)

On behalf of DWP, we are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (MDM) for a 6 month contract (Inside IR35) based Hybrid in Blackpool or Manchester.

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer (MDM) to join a multi-disciplinary product team as part of our DWP Mobile Products service. The team is responsible for the deployment, configuration and management of the mobile platform as well as the development and rollout of mobile applications.

The wider product team plays a key role in defining and delivering DWP's mobility strategy, aimed at supporting an increasingly mobile workforce, improving user experience and enhancing productivity across a range of device platforms and sizes.

As an Infrastructure Engineer your main responsibilities will be to:
. Configure, manage and maintain the Workspace ONE Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform to support iOS and Android (Samsung Knox) devices.
. Support the migration from an existing MDM service to a new Workspace One-based solution, including testing, enrolment and deployment activities.
. Collaborate with the Lead Infrastructure Engineer and support teams to identify and resolve defects, incorporating user feedback into service improvements.
. Work closely with Business Analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical configurations and deployment plans.
. Provide 3rd line support for incidents, problems, and changes related to mobile infrastructure and device management.
. Engage in ITSM processes including device-level problem management, incident management and change control.
. Conduct device testing and configuration validation, supporting testers and ensuring readiness for service launch.
. Produce and maintain documentation for configurations, service changes, and performance reporting, contributing to risk register management and KPI tracking.

Essential:
. Strong hands-on experience with Workspace ONE/AirWatch as a Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform.
. In-depth knowledge of Mobile operating systems specifically iOS and Android with proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to device configuration and policy enforcement.
. Strong experience in mobile device management principles using Workspace ONE/AirWatch.
. Proven ability to support and manage Microsoft Office 365 services.
. Understanding of Microsoft Azure, Entra ID and Intune.
. Working experience of Samsung Knox - Mobile Enrolment/E-Fota/Knox Service Plugin.
. Solid background in infrastructure engineering and mobile device support.
