Manchester

Hybrid - 2 days in Office

Up to £60,000 plus bonus

Do you have a passion for cloud technologies, security, and infrastructure? Are you someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys tackling complex technical issues? We're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to play a crucial role in managing and securing IT systems while promoting operational efficiency within a dynamic organisation.

Your Role

As an Infrastructure Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the deployment, maintenance, and operation of security infrastructure, including AV systems, PKI, and Active Directory.
  • Applying server hardening best practices and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving operational challenges while providing reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assisting with security audits (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials) and advising IT teams on best security practices.
  • Reviewing and optimising infrastructure to align with best practices, identifying potential issues and addressing them proactively.
  • Working closely with various teams to strengthen security and enhance system resilience.
What We're Looking For Must-Have Skills:
  • Several years experience with AV solutions (preferably Microsoft Defender - Endpoint, Cloud, and Identity).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Intune, and Azure AD Sync.
  • Familiarity with single sign-on technologies such as SAML 2.0 protocol and ADFS 2.0.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, Google Cloud, and advanced endpoint security solutions.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, patch management, and penetration testing.
  • Experience with Azure conditional access policies.
  • Understanding of PKI, including Active Directory-integrated certification management.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as ITIL, MCSA, or CEH are beneficial.
