We have an exciting opportunity for an Information and Document Control Manager to join the Direct Procured for Customers (DPC) Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Under our Strategic Resource Option (SRO) Major Projects team we will support a massive programme of capital investment across Yorkshire and the wider UK delivered via Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC). The Information and Document Control Manager will be an integral member of our programme team and play a critical role in the setting up of the DPC programme and the longer term success of the programme through establishing and managing the document control function, processes, procedures, tools, systems and capability for the entire programme.
Where you fit inAs our Information and Document Control Manager you will;
- Develop and implement an appropriate information management and document control solution, processes and procedures for the SRO programme to meet RAPID, Ofwat and YW goals.
- Manage, receipt, catalogue, and store documents digitally, ensuring they are accessible and correctly filed according to the document control procedures.
- Maintain records of all documents and revisions, including drawings, reports, and project correspondence, ensuring the most current and accurate versions are available.
- Facilitate the distribution and submission of documents to project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Manage the process of document review and approvals, ensuring timely updates and distributions.
- Ensure all project documentation complies with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with project teams, including engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure efficient document control support.
- Generate reports on document status, compliance, and other metrics for the SRO program and projects.
- Assist in the archiving of project documents and records in accordance with legal and company requirements, ensuring they are securely stored and retrievable.
- Proven experience of leading a Document Control team (typically >10 years) in a project, engineering or construction environment.
- Experience of working in project environments and understanding how information flow and documentation supports project development and delivery.
- Proven experience of working with document management systems.
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
- An NVQ Level 4 or degree in Business or Information Management
- Experienced user of ACC
