Industrial Technician

Our client is a key player in the Belgian energy sector. They operate a specialized laboratory where they carry out tests for customers. To support their activities with technical help, we're looking for a technician.

Job description:

You'll have two main areas of responsibility:

1) In the lighting laboratory (90% lab-based, 10% on-site)

• You work test lighting products to see how well they perform in terms of power, brightness, color, and efficiency.
• You measure lighting on-site, like in streets or tunnels.
• You work with customers by preparing quotes, planning tests, and following up on invoices.
• You create calibration certificates and test reports.
• You help improve and develop new ways of measuring, both in the lab and on-site.

2) On the test installations (80% on the test site, 20% at customer locations)

• You install, wire, and connect test setups for low-voltage systems.
• You set up electrical cabinets and connect parts (e.g., inverters, batteries).
• You build installations and dismantle them when the tests are done.
• You install sensors and measurement equipment.

Who are you?

• You have a technical diploma (A1/A2) in electricity or electromechanics.
• You are fluent in either Dutch and/or French, and English.
• You have experience installing industrial electrical systems.
• You work accurately and follow procedures carefully.
• You feel at home in a lab environment.
• You are flexible and willing to travel occasionally within Europe.
• You are proficient with basic software tools like Microsoft Office.
• You have a valid driver's license.
