We're looking for an Industrial Placement Quantity Surveyor Student to join our Infrastructure team. You will be working in the Water sector and assist on projects for our Southern Water Framework across East Sussex. Starting Salary:£27,976 per annum

Pathway:12 Months - 40hrs per week,with the potential to lead onto a Graduate position

What you will be responsible for?

As an Industrial Placement Quantity Surveyor, you will assist in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of infrastructure projects. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands on experience, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and develop a strong foundation in quantity surveying.

What will your day-to-day duties include?

• Manage commercial resources of the project
• Assisting inmaximising gross profit for projects
• Assessing, reviewing, andmitigating commercial/contractual risks as well as value work executed by sub-contractors
• Helping prepare and submittenders and contract documents.
• Collaboratingwith the project team to prepare progress reports and financial statements

When you join, you will be enrolled onto ourindustrial placement scheme. The programme will take12-months to complete and has been designed to immerse yourself in the world of construction,you'llget to see your learnings in real world situations and gain practical experiences to support the rest of your degree.

What are we looking for?

We're on the lookout for students undertaking a degree in Quantity Surveying, who have the option orrequirement to complete a placement year from 2027 - 2028. After your placement, you'll be returning to university with a graduation year of 2029.

• Degree (or working towards a degree) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrates a genuine interest in pursuing a career in quantity surveying and the construction industry, with clear motivation to learn and develop professionally.
• Demonstrates numerical confidence and the ability to use data to support decision making (with support and development where required).
• Shows enthusiasm for learning new skills and knowledge, and the ability to adapt in response to feedback.
• Works effectively as part of a team, demonstrating collaboration, reliability, and respect for others.
• Hold a full UK driver license.
