Indirect Tax Senior Manager

Location: Hybrid London 2 days/ Remote Type: Fixed Term Contractor - 12 months About the Role, Department & Team

The Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) Tax Department is comprised of a dynamic team of tax professionals managing LSM's internal tax matters and compliance processes, while supporting other internal functions and businesses across the LSM network worldwide.

Reporting to the Indirect Tax Business Partner, this role manages and controls the accounting of indirect taxes and ensures compliance with all applicable indirect tax legislation across LSM.

Key Responsibilities Trusted Advisor and Business Partner

• Provide Indirect Tax technical advice to the business, including cross border transactions, business restructure, place of supply / risk location, and partial exemption matters.
• Assess Indirect Tax treatment for new products, systems and processes.
• Monitor developments in Indirect Tax legislation and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
• Support tax authority audits and enquiries: issues and escalation.
• Champion Indirect Tax with key internal stakeholders.
• Liaise effectively with external advisors.

Operational excellence and transformation

• Partner with team members to oversee compliance delivery: review and submission of UK / EU and other Indirect Tax returns.
• Strengthen Indirect Tax governance, controls and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with team members to oversee Indirect Tax data extraction, validation and reconciliation processes.
• Manage relationships with outsourced providers and ensure all deadlines are met.
• Champion continuous improvement / tech solutions in the end-to-end Indirect Tax process.
