Indirect Tax Manager - 12 month fixed term contract

What You'll Do

The Indirect Tax Manager will join the Indirect, Client and Business Tax Team, a part of a 20+ person tax team. The Indirect Tax Manager reports to the Indirect, Client and Business Tax Director and will provide pragmatic, strategic support to improve day-to-day reporting for indirect tax, including reducing costs and ensuring indirect taxes are properly managed throughout BCG's supply chain and within BCG's financial and accounting systems.

We are looking for a motivated professional to join our team, grow with us and help drive and build our indirect tax function.

Responsibilities

• Indirect Tax compliance to support our local offices;
• Support the implementation of VAT and WHT end-to-end system solution in SAP S/4HANA;
• Support e-Invoicing mandates and country timelines;
• Support e-Invoicing implementation in SAP S/4HANA;
• Support extensive SAP user acceptance testing and training;
• Assist in implementing appropriate strategies and solutions in response to new VAT rules;
• Proactively look for digital / AI opportunities to meet indirect tax requirements, support business initiatives, and implement new legislation.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and/or law degree;
• Requires professional tax/VAT qualification/certification attained from a recognized tax training body (e.g.; Chartered Institute of Taxation, UK, CPA, JD-LLM);
• Minimum of seven (7)+ years' experience providing VAT consulting services in a public accounting, consulting, or law firm;
• Significant experience with cross-border transactions; both external and intercompany invoicing in a professional services firm;
• Experience with indirect taxes in Europe and India is advantageous;
• Organized, analytical and methodical with strong ability to think strategically;
• Strong communication skills including experience presenting complicated tax issues/concepts to leadership;
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA (Public Cloud preferable) Document Reporting and Compliance for VAT, WHT, SAF-T reporting;
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA tax determination including Tax codes, calculation and postings.
