Job Description

We are seeking a curious, critical-thinking Incentives & Commercial Analyst to join our Commercial Excellence team at Reuters. In this role, you will be expected to acquire a deep understanding of the business and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver the core building blocks that motivate Sales and facilitate growth across the business.

About the Role

As an Incentives & Commercial Analyst at Reuters, you will:

  • Data Analytics & Decision Support: Leverage data visualization tools (like Power BI and Tableau) to transform sales performance metrics into actionable insights, driving strategic decisions for senior management.
  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive reporting tools and dashboards that equip Sales and leadership with real-time data.
  • Deliver insightful analyses that guide and deliver GTM strategies, uncover opportunities for growth, and improve overall business outcomes (examples of analyses include sales participation, white space, and pipeline health).
  • Analyse and interpret the business performance and make recommendations for improvement concerning policy, resource allocation, and operations/processes.

Commissions & Incentives:

  • Assist in implementing and improving sales compensation plans across Reuters, including account segmentation, resource allocation, territory assignment, compensation, and quota setting.
  • Work with Finance to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of commission payouts, addressing discrepancies and inquiries effectively.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to reduce manual processes and enhance the efficiency of our quarterly commission cadence.
  • Champion best practices in data management and reporting to continuously improve our approach.
About You

To be our Incentives & Commercial Analyst, you will likely have:

  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI & Tableau.
  • Strong analytical skills to distill complex data into strategic insights, uncovering narratives that drive action.
  • Proven ability to communicate ideas effectively to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across various audiences.
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects and able to shift priorities while maintaining high-quality results.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and experience in commercial or sales analytics is a plus but not required.
  • Confidence to challenge the status quo.
  • Acts fast and competes to win.
