MTrec Technical are representing our well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing client in their search for an experienced Logistics Specialist. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth running of the department through the use of planning, scheduling and reporting.

The Job you will do:

• Build and maintain good working relationships with Procurement teams, suppliers and third-party logistics providers to ensure deliveries are planned, received and processed on time.
• Take responsibility for the daily inbound delivery schedule, making sure deliveries are balanced and achievable and meet the needs of Production and Logistics.
• Monitor the goods receiving process and ensure all incoming materials are received, checked and accurately recorded in SAP and other relevant systems.
• Ensure all receiving activities follow company procedures, quality standards and health and safety requirements.
• Investigate and resolve delivery and receiving discrepancies, working closely with Procurement and Finance to identify the cause and take appropriate action.
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), preparing regular updates and reports for management and highlighting trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Identify and escalate stock issues, delivery delays and operational risks to the appropriate teams, ensuring problems are followed through to resolution.
• Work with internal teams and external suppliers to improve processes, increase receiving accuracy and strengthen supply chain controls.
• Support continuous improvement projects aimed at making processes more efficient, reducing errors and improving overall operational performance.
• Support Production and Logistics during busy periods and peak production schedules, ensuring materials are available when needed.
• Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation and procedures to a high standard.
• Work collaboratively with other departments and provide support where required to help meet wider business needs.

About you:

• Previous experience in a Goods In, Warehouse, Logistics or Supply Chain administration role.
• Experience coordinating and managing delivery schedules and booking-in processes.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when checking delivery documentation, purchase orders, stock records and batch information.
• Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems to process deliveries, purchase orders and stock movements.
• Proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies, system issues and stock variances.
• Experience creating, maintaining and distributing KPI data and performance reports.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, suppliers and transport providers.
