In-House Employment Lawyer

Responsibilities- Providing day to day legal advice to HR and business leaders on employment law issues (redundancy, restructuring, disciplinary, grievance, discrimination, equal opportunities etc)
- Managing tribunal claims and contentious employment litigation from start to finish
- Advising and executing TUPE transfers, reorganisations and secondments
- Drafting, negotiating and reviewing employment contracts, settlement agreements, HR policies and procedures
- Keeping abreast of legislative change and ensuring the business remains compliant
- Delivering training sessions and workshops (for HR, line managers, leadership)
- Contributing to strategic workforce planning and legal risk prevention initiatives
The In House Employment Lawyer should be:
- A solicitor (or equivalent) with 3+ years' PQE in employment law
- Experienced in both contentious and non contentious employment matters
- Skilled in advising on discrimination/equal ops, redundancy, disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Experienced in TUPE, reorganisations and consulting/structuring changes
- Comfortable with union / collective relations (experience a strong advantage)
- Preferably with prior in house or secondment experience
You'll receive a competitive salary of £70,000, plus a 5% performance bonus, and a £5,000 car allowance (which may be taken as a cash alternative).
