In-House Counsel (Charging)

The In House Counsel (Charging) role in Norwich involves advising on property charging, securitisation, and secured lending matters for a social housing organisation.

You will be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with proven real estate law experience, handling complex transactions that underpin a major funding programme.

This permanent, full time position offers a salary between £31,500 and £55,424 depending on experience.

Hybrid working is available, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office. You will be based from either Exeter, Tolvaddon, Norwich or Tewkesbury.

• Lead on property charging and securitisation transactions.
• Advise on financing and refinancing matters.
• Conduct and manage legal due diligence across property portfolios.
• Identify and resolve title defects and complex property issues.
• Ensure assets meet lender and funder requirements.
• Manage external solicitors and transactional delivery.
• Support funding programmes and security charging initiatives.
• Act as a subject matter expert across the organisation.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.

• Strong technical property law expertise.
• Experience managing title investigations and due diligence exercises.
• A sound understanding of lender security requirements.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
