A leading Legal 500 firm in the North West is seeking a Barrister or qualified Solicitor to join its highly regarded Advocacy department. Following continued growth, the firm is looking to appoint an ambitious advocate keen to develop within a structured, supportive and high-performing in-house advocacy team.
This is a standout opportunity for a legal professional with a genuine interest in advocacy, with full support available for Solicitors seeking Higher Rights of Audience and long-term progression in this specialist area.
The Role- Conduct advocacy at hearings, including interlocutory applications and trials
- Advise case handlers on complex legal and procedural issues
- Draft and review pleadings, applications and key legal documents
- Manage a varied caseload with autonomy and responsibility
- Support internal knowledge sharing and deliver training sessions
- Work closely with senior advocates to develop technical and courtroom skills
- Contribute to efficient case progression and strong client outcomes
- This is a strong development role within a growing specialist advocacy function
- Qualified Barrister or Solicitor
- Confident advocate with experience in hearings and/or trials
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to manage a complex and varied workload
- Highly organised with excellent time management
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Motivated, professional and commercially aware
- Genuine interest in developing an advocacy career
- Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience
