Role Title: IMS Design Engineer

Role Summary

The IMS Design Engineer is responsible for the design and development of IMS network solutions supporting voice, messaging, and multimedia services across mobile and fixed networks. The role focuses on delivering scalable and reliable IMS architectures aligned with business and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and support IMS core network solutions across VoLTE, VoWiFi, SIP, and multimedia services.
• Produce High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD) for IMS network deployments and enhancements.
• Work with cross-functional teams including Core, IP, Transmission, and Operations teams.
• Support integration activities across IMS platforms and related network elements.
• Perform capacity planning, performance optimisation, and design validation activities.
• Ensure network designs follow security, resilience, and operational standards.
• Support troubleshooting and technical resolution for complex IMS-related issues.
• Participate in network transformation and modernisation projects.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with IMS architecture and protocols including SIP, Diameter, RTP, and VoLTE.
• Good understanding of telecom core network technologies and mobile network architecture.
• Experience working with leading IMS vendors such as Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, or Oracle.
• Knowledge of virtualised and cloud-based telecom environments is beneficial.
• Experience creating technical design documentation and implementation plans.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Language Requirement

• Fluent English and Spanish communication skills are required.

Preferred Certifications

• IMS/VoLTE vendor certifications or equivalent practical experience.
• CCNP, CCIE, or telecom-related certifications advantageous.
