Grade: 4

Salary per annum (£): £25,249 - £26,707 (pro rata for part-time staff)

Work arrangement: Part-time - 3 days a week, Hybrid

Duration: As soon as possible until 31 December 2027

Overview

We are looking for a Co-production Administrator to join the IMPACT Networks team at the University of Sheffield. IMPACT is the UK-wide centre for implementing evidence in adult social care, and IMPACT Networks bring together local people to discuss common yet complex (adult social care) challenges, share their experiences and learning, and suggest practical and scalable ideas for an action plan.

You will support the inclusion of people with lived experience and other partners in IMPACT Networks and Assemblies, acting as their main point of contact and processing payments, ensuring they are paid in a timely manner. This role will also involve extensive communication with internal University of Sheffield teams, including finance and research operations.

Responsibilities
  • Be the main point of contact for people with lived experience who are involved with IMPACT Networks and Assemblies, taking responsibility for resolving complex queries, using judgement and discretion to foster an inclusive environment.
  • Process payments for people with lived experience, using standard University of Sheffield processes, supporting claimants with access needs.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely payments.
  • Work with internal departments to improve processes and procedures related to paying people with lived experience.
  • Attend IMPACT Network meetings where relevant.
  • Carry out other duties, commensurate with the grade and remit of the post.
Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal across a range of platforms - Essential
  • Excellent customer service, with experience of responding efficiently and effectively to both routine and non-identical queries - Essential
  • Excellent IT knowledge and skills, with experience using Microsoft Office packages, in particular Word and Excel, and Google packages - Essential
  • Experience of monitoring payments and budgets - Essential
  • Ability to assess and organise time, resources and information effectively - Essential
  • Previous experience of working in a support role within a higher education or public sector context - Desirable
  • Ability to develop creative approaches to problem solving - Desirable
