Job Description
Part Time Band 3 Administrative Assistant - School Immunisation

Main duties include managing calls and emails from schools, parents and other departments, preparing for and attending school immunisation sessions, and providing administrative support. Following each session you will process session data, resolve any discrepancies and generate reports for external agencies, all within agreed timeframes.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in administration and be able to perform general duties related to the role to a high standard. Excellent IT skills and interpersonal skills are essential. This role is both office and school based, so a driver's licence and access to a car is mandatory.

The contract is 15 hours per week: either 3 days of 5 hours or 2 days of 7.5 hours, scheduled at the end of each week. Core working hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. Interviews will take place on Monday 11th May at Tuscany Way, Normanton.

Team and Role

You will work with a dynamic, supportive team of nurses, immunisation support workers and administrators to deliver immunisations to children and young people across Wakefield, including those who are hard to reach or no longer in mainstream education.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Good IT proficiency and a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
