Identity and Access Management (IAM) Officer

Location: Brussels, Belgium (with limited remote work from NATO member states - 1 day per week)
Contract Length: 6 months with view to extend into 2027

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Officer to join NATO in Brussels. This is a key contract position focused on shaping and implementing IAM strategy, policies, and technical solutions across the NATO Enterprise.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical cybersecurity initiatives at an international level, working in a high-profile, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop IAM policies, directives, and strategy for on-premise and cloud-based systems.

• Revise and oversee Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) frameworks.

• Support the implementation of IAM technical solutions, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

• Coordinate risk management activities within IAM projects and monitor results.

• Lead coordination efforts across specific NATO IAM initiatives and projects.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Multi-year experience in IAM at both policy and implementation level.

• Proven expertise with IAM solutions in cloud and on-prem environments.

• Hands-on experience implementing MFA solutions.

• Strong background in Project Management and/or Service Management.

Desirable:

• Experience administering a PKI Certification Authority.

• Auditing or inspecting PKIs.

• Knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic key management.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills.

• Strong team player with the ability to work in diverse, multinational teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (or equivalent by experience) in a relevant field.

• Fluent English required.
