We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused ICT Service Desk Officer to join our friendly and supportive ICT team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality ICT support across the organisation, helping both school staff and corporate users to stay connected and productive. You will be at the heart of our service, providing first-line support and ensuring that ICT issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.
What You'll Be Doing- Providing telephone, in-person and remote ICT support to a wide range of users.
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Supporting the delivery of ICT services across schools and corporate environments.
- Coordinating with other ICT staff and teams to resolve more complex issues.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of ICT systems and services.
The role is primarily based at Canolfan Rheidol, Aberystwyth, with occasional travel to other county sites as required.

Previous experience in ICT support and a general understanding of networks and IT systems would be advantageous. However, we are committed to developing our staff, and full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Where you'll work Customer Contact & ICTOur service has a range of responsibilities from providing advice and support to the residents of Ceredigion to providing corporate support via our ICT, reception and mailroom teams. Our service is responsible for the following functions:
- Civil Registration: Birth, deaths and marriages.
- Corporate Customer Services: Blue badge; Contact centre; Mailroom and scanning; Receptions.
- ICT and Information Management: Archives and modern records; ICT support; Infrastructure and security; Project and application support; Reprographics, Technical support, Software development.
