Job Description

Context

We currently have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer IC to join our engineering team to support high work levels on Dubai Blue Line and various UK projects.

Main Duties

The Mechanical Engineer's primary responsibilities will include producing MEP designs as instructed by the project's Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) and/or Lead Engineer. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring designs meet CRE/Lead Engineers' requirements.
  • Completing designs within the agreed timescales.
  • Planning design work to meet deadlines.
  • Identifying changes to client requirements and raising these with the CRE/Lead Engineer.
Profile/Skills
  • Flexibility in working hours to meet role demands.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices.
  • Knowledge of mechanical services design within the built environment or transport infrastructure, including HVAC, Public Health, Building Physics, and BIM.
  • Understanding of multidisciplinary issues related to M&E and building services.
  • Knowledge of construction principles and standards.
  • Experience working in the Middle East is desirable but not essential.
