Job Description

University of Portsmouth invites applications for a Research Fellow in Transient Astrophysics to study the properties of faint-and-fast thermonuclear transients. The postdoctoral position is based in the Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation and offers a hybrid pattern with two remote days per week.

Applicants should have a strong background in transient astronomy, numerical simulations and data analysis. The closing date is 12 September 2026.
