HVAC Controls Engineer (Freelance, 12 months) - Utrecht (Hybrid)
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Engineer with a strong background in industrial environments. A skilled professional to support the control philosophy and develop control narratives for a 2GW Landstation.
About the Role
You will work closely with internal teams and partners to ensure control strategies meet quality and deadline expectations. Your expertise will be essential in designing and documenting HVAC control strategies-particularly for plant control systems. While programming SCADA is not a core responsibility, you will assist in the overall design and documentation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support control philosophies and narratives for HVAC systems in an industrial setting.
- Assist in the design and documentation of control strategies and MEP systems.
- Ensure documentation is clear, concise, and primarily in English.
Requirements
- Proven experience with HVAC controls, preferably in industrial environments.
- Strong background in creating and maintaining control narratives.
- Knowledge of MEP systems.
- Dutch language proficiency preferred
- English fluency for documentation purposes.
- Familiarity with ePlan is a plus but not mandatory.
Location & Work Mode
- Office based in Utrecht with project site within a 1hr 45min drive once built
- Hybrid work model with 2-3 days in-office preferred but flexible.
Contract Details
- 12-month freelance contract.
- Immediate start preferred.
