Waltham Forest, North London Start: September Full-time Permanent

If you're passionate about bringing history to life, sparking debate in geography, or helping students understand the world around them, this could be your next role.

We're working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Waltham Forest looking to appoint a Humanities Teacher on a permanent basis from September. The school is open to specialisms within History, Geography or Religious Studies, and is keen to find someone who can engage students and make learning meaningful.

The role
  • Teach Humanities across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 depending on your subject specialism
  • Deliver engaging, thought-provoking lessons that encourage discussion and critical thinking
  • Create a structured and inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed
  • Use strong behaviour management to maintain a positive learning atmosphere
  • Track progress and adapt teaching to support student outcomes
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and wider school initiatives
What we're looking for
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Humanities in a secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography or Religious Studies
  • Confident classroom presence and effective behaviour management
  • A genuine passion for education and student development
  • A team player who brings energy and ideas to the department
