Human Resources Specialist

We are looking for an HR Specialist for a client in the financial domain .
You will :
• Manage end-to-end payroll & benefits activities for one or several business groups based in Belgium
o Gather and process monthly payroll information for BE employees in Workday and eBlox in partnership with our social secretariat for the assigned groups
o Prepare and process payroll for expatriates in collaboration with external tax advisors and our Rewards team if applicable to the assigned group
o Perform 4-eyes checks on the payroll input completed by your peers
o Provide employees with necessary social documents (DRS, C4, etc )
o Liaise with insurances to ensure coverage during leaves (maternity, paternity, illness, etc )
o Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely completion of payroll tasks to meet deadlines
• Liaison with other teams/employees
o Serve as an advisor to employees regarding payroll, benefits, and social law related queries
o Regularly update the information available for employees on intranet
• Projects
o Participate in ad-hoc projects (such as. early retirement, works council requests )
• Social legislation expert
o Answer questions and requests regarding payroll and social legislation, liaising with the authorities (social security, unemployment offices, etc ) when necessary
o Continuously monitor developments and trends in order to ensure compliance with legal changes
o Make suggestions for changes or improvements to management based on new legislation or changing legislation
Skills/Qualifications:
• Relevant educational background and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in payroll, payroll consulting or payroll analyst
• Native speaker in either French or Dutch with good knowledge of the other language
• Excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing)
• Knowledge of eblox is a must
• Good understanding of Belgian employment law and fiscal rules related to payroll (with specific focus on JC200)
• Working knowledge of Workday is a plus
• Strong analytical mindset
