Job Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to partner with our business leaders in the Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Operations & Advisory

  • Provide operational support to the HRBP in delivering people initiatives within the function/location.
  • Offer accurate, country- or function-specific advice on HR legislation and internal policies.
  • Act as second-line support for HR queries unresolved by Ask.HR, including reviewing legacy issues and patterns, and proposing solutions in coordination with COE or HR Operations.
  • Stay up to date with Dutch labor legislation and proactively recommend policy/process improvements.

2. Employee Relations

  • Manage employee relations processes such as investigations, disciplinary actions, performance management, absence cases, and recruitment.
  • Coach and support line managers in executing core people processes, ensuring strong managerial ownership.

3. Talent & Performance

  • Support Senior HRBP/HRBP with people planning activities, including:
  • performance calibration
  • talent forums
  • training & development initiatives

4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner closely with HR Operations and the HR Centres of Excellence to align on policies, processes, and business changes.
  • Identify people-related trends and work with stakeholders to implement practical, business-oriented solutions.
  • Contribute to HR projects, offering ideas and improvement suggestions.

  • HR Operations

Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant HR experience only
  • Strong knowledge of country-specific HR legislation and policies
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., Workday)

Skills & Competencies

  • Solid understanding of employee legislation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work proactively
  • HR degree or equivalent experience

NOTE:

  • This role is not supporting VISA sponsorship, and the candidate must be in Netherlands
  • Dutch Employment law knowledge is mandatory/Previous working experience in Netherlands is mandatory
  • Workday experience is mandatory
  • Initial contract duration - 4 months (End of March with possible extension)
