About Freedom from TortureFreedom from Torture is a UK-based human rights charity supporting survivors of torture to rebuild their lives. We campaign against torture and advocate for survivors' rights. We were the Winner of the 2023 Overall Award for Excellence for our "StopTheFlights" Campaign, which successfully influenced airlines to withdraw from deportation schemes involving refugees, including torture survivors.
Job OpportunityWe are seeking a Human Resources Administrator to join our London team from the end of August 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small, friendly HR team, supporting 250 staff and volunteers dedicated to rehabilitation and campaigning for torture survivors' rights.
Role ResponsibilitiesYou will support the HR team in delivering efficient HR services, act as the first point of contact for HR and recruitment queries, and gain exposure to all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
Candidate ProfileYou should be an experienced Administrator with a strong track record supporting busy teams. This role is suitable for those looking to deepen HR experience or start a new career in HR. You should have excellent customer service skills, strong communication, be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in improving administrative processes.
Benefits and SalaryWe offer a competitive package, including a 30-day annual leave entitlement and a 6% employer pension contribution (minimum 1% employee contribution). The salary range for this role is £30,507 - £35,388, with starting salaries at the lower end, and opportunities for progression based on annual reviews.
