HSQE Data Analyst

We are seeking a detail-driven HSQE Data Analyst to join our Health, Safety, Quality & Environment (HSQE) team on a 12 Month fixed term contract basis.
This role is critical in supporting the business with high quality analytical insights, performance measurement data, and compliance reporting. You will work collaboratively with HSQE professionals and operational teams across client sites, helping to drive our HSQE Strategy through data led decision making, trend analysis, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing- Produce incident statistics, data insights, and analysis from the incident reporting system.
- Develop visually compelling reports and dashboards for monthly, quarterly, and annual HSQE reporting cycles.
- Combine data from multiple HSQE sources (incident data, audits, hazard spotting, risk registers, sustainability metrics, etc.) to create comprehensive risk mapping outputs.
- Track actions and support continuous improvement initiatives across the HSQE function.
- Perform regular data quality checks across tools, systems, and reports.
- Design and maintain an HSQE dashboard/scorecard to monitor compliance and performance.
- Collate and report on tools and equipment compliance metrics.
- Provide internal building compliance reporting for Arcus offices, including statutory requirements and sustainability indicators.
- Analyse trends from internal and external audit findings.
- Report on toolbox talk completion rates across operational teams.
- Support the Data Protection Officer with relevant data processing information.
- Calculate accident frequency rates, including RIDDOR metrics.
- Produce year on year trend analysis to support strategic decision making.
- Capture and analyse environmental/sustainability data including energy usage, carbon emissions, and mileage.
- Contribute data for the corporate risk register and new business bids or contract renewals.
- Support award submissions (e.g., RoSPA) through accurate data provision.
- Carry out ad hoc data projects as required.
- Analyse and report on dynamic risk assessment activity across the business.
- Work closely with the HSQE Team to ensure data driven collaboration and a strong understanding of HSQE business needs.
- Desirable: HND or Degree in Maths, Data Science, Computing, or related field.
- Essential: Advanced user of MS Excel and Power BI.
- Experience in data analytics, with the ability to interpret complex information and produce professional, actionable reports.
- Skilled in analysing and reporting data from multiple sources and large datasets.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, Power Apps, and Power BI.
- HSQE experience is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to evaluate data validity, assess relevance, and make meaningful recommendations.
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet urgent deadlines.
- Proactive, organised, and able to prioritise workload independently.

- Able to take ownership of tasks and deliver to completion with minimal supervision.

- Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.
- 4% bonus, subject to achievement of targets.
