Job Description
The key responsibilities for the role of HSE Specialist are as follows:
- Implementing, monitoring and reviewing HSE strategies, policies and procedures.
- Support in achieving / maintaining the companies ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Delivering training and promoting awareness of health and safety obligations.
- Conducting risk assessments, audits and site inspections.
- Investigating accidents and incidents, and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure HSE standards are adhered to.
- Reporting on HSE performance to senior management.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives in the area of HSE.
The Successful Applicant
A successful HSE Specialist should have:
- Relevant qualifications in Health, Safety and Environmental management.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An analytical mind with strong problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to deliver training and promote a positive HSE culture.
