HSE Program Specialist

We are currently looking for a HSE Program Specialist working in our HSE, Assurance and Workplace directorate. Based out of our Basingstoke or Hurn Office on a Permanent Basis. This role will combine office and home working to ensure a positive work/life balance.

The Role
Your responsibilities will be to develop and design HSE engagement programs and initiatives, as identified through HSE management system review, risk assessment and incident investigation. Plan and deliver engagement programs and initiatives, collaborating with key stakeholders to enable successful deployment.
You will collect and analyse feedback from engagement programs and initiatives to identify improvement opportunities. Identify and use best practice from research and benchmarking to create effective and enduring engagement programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the identification of new HSE engagement programs and initiatives based on output from HSE management review, risk assessment, assurance reviews, internal audits, incident investigations and external benchmarking
- Define the desired outcomes and where relevant learning objectives of HSE engagement programs, and ensure these factors are integrated into the design criteria
- Lead the design of key HSE engagement programs and initiatives aligned to SNG's 'Everyone Safe & Well' vision and the occupational HSE risk control matrix. Integrate into the programs and initiatives concepts embedded in human and organisational performance and other similar safety management frameworks
- Create, in collaboration with key stakeholders, relevant engagement materials, including presentations, digital assets, guides, physical assets, videos, toolkits, and templates
- Design program materials and supporting guidance for delivery as required to enable implementation in line with our approach to continuous improvement
- Lead the development of implementation plans for the HSE engagement programs and initiatives, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure deployment is considered in the context of overall organisational activity levels and priorities
What we look for
- Previous experience designing HSE engagement programs
- Experience facilitating HSE workshops and training sessions, with excellent communication and collaboration skills
- NEBOSH National General Certificate
- Proficient in MS Office based products
- Ability to manage your own workload
- Strong customer service focus & confident telephone manner
- The ability to think quickly and clearly and work well under pressure
